Who We Are
Mockingbird is a DTC-first baby gear brand known for understanding today’s parents, creating thoughtfully designed products, and providing above & beyond customer service. In a sea of old school baby brands, we’re proud to stand out, offering families not just better products but also a better overall experience. Our flagship product is our Single-to-Double Stroller, an everyday stroller that offers unparalleled flexibility, and can be paired with our complimentary stroller accessories. After years of innovative design & engineering and in-depth consumer testing, we launched our second major product, the 2-in-1 High Chair, which rapidly became one of the most popular high chairs on the market.
Our vision is for families to be able to rely on Mockingbird through parenting stages and milestones – from newborn to toddler to child, from first strolls to first food and more – a brand parents could never imagine living without. While humility is in our team’s DNA, we feel extremely proud of how much parents and top baby gear experts alike praise our products. We’ve received over 10,000 5-star customer reviews, we’ve been honored with awards & recommendations from the likes of Wirecutter, Forbes, and Babylist, and we hear from Mockingbird families every day how much our products mean to them (we actually have a whole Slack channel that’s just screenshots like this, this, and this)! As a team, we’re scrappy, independent, and entrepreneurial, while also being strategic, methodical, and highly collaborative.
We’re extremely thoughtful, caring, and supportive of our customers, and perhaps even more so of each other. We’re thrilled with how far Mockingbird has already come, but we’re invigorated by the thought of how much room we still have to grow. And that's where you come in…
What You’d Be Doing
At the forefront, you’d lead Mockingbird’s organic social channels, currently focused on Instagram and TikTok. Social media plays a big role in parents’ journey of discovering and researching baby gear, and we’re looking for someone who can take ownership of, evolve, and elevate our existing social strategies, while managing and partnering with our part-time content creators. This role will also lead content management (new to Mockingbird!), tasked with developing processes to empower the internal marketing team with the creative assets they need and quarterbacking future lifestyle and studio content creation.

- Design, implement and manage processes for how creative content (images and videos) is organized at Mockingbird, with a goal of making usable content readily accessible to the team, empowering everyone to easily find what they’re looking for, and maximizing the impact of each piece of content we make
- Develop strategy for how Mockingbird approaches lifestyle content creation, addressing marketing team’s content needs on an ongoing basis (currently this has solely happened around new product launches & for our social calendar, so we’re looking for this role to lead an evolved, more evergreen strategy)
- Quarterback planning and execution of content creation end to end across both studio and lifestyle photo/video shoots – including sourcing content creators, developing briefs, ensuring output meets our needs, etc.
- Community
- Manage social moderation strategy & oversee execution (handled by Customer Service team), ensuring we’re showing up in a way that’s native to both our brand and the channel
- Create and execute strategy for proactively engaging on social content we’re mentioned in and/or content related to our brand, expanding brand’s social persona
- Create and execute strategy for proactively engaging with online parenting communities (e.g. Facebook groups, What to Expect forums, Reddit, etc.)

- Proven success managing organic social channels (with or without creating the content itself) and shaping social strategy
- Deep expertise in both Instagram and TikTok, with general knowledge of YouTube
- Ability to thoroughly understand a company’s consumer, speaking to them in a way that “just gets them,” while also understanding how to balance this consumer focus with business objectives

- Excellent communication skills, including copywriting, fluent in adapting comms to a brand’s voice and to social channels and in infusing creativity into communication
