SMX is looking for a highly motivated
Information Systems Security Officer (ISSO) with demonstrated experience to support the development phase of a project relative to software supporting aircraft and weapons systems. This position will provide onsite support at Patuxent River NAS in southern Maryland.As the Information Systems Security Officer, you will join a team of highly driven, supportive, and skilled professionals engaged in supporting across the NAVAIR community.Primary responsibilities for the Information Systems Security Officer include:
- Plan, implement, upgrade, and monitor security measures for the protection of computer networks and information systems
- Ensure appropriate security controls are in place that will safeguard digital files and vital electronic infrastructure
- Respond to computer security breaches and viruses
- Provide maintenance and creation of Risk Management Framework (RMF) accreditation packages
Required Skills and Experience:
- Clearance required: Secret
- Bachelor’s degree in a technical discipline
- An associate's and 4 additional years of experience, or 6 additional years may be substituted for a bachelor's degree.
- At least five (5) years of experience in Information Assurance related field
- Thorough knowledge of NIST 800-53 controls/Risk Management Framework (RMF) Accreditation (assessment and authorization) Process
- Security + or equivalent DOD INST 8570 compliant certification required
Desired Qualifications:
- Experience with DISA Security Technical Implementation Guides (STIG), Assured Compliance Assessment Solution (ACAS), and Security Content Automation Protocol (SCAP)
- Experience with Enterprise Mission Assurance Support Service (eMASS), Evaluate-STIG, and eMASSter
- Strong ability to communicate clearly and succinctly in written and oral presentations
