Overview
Noetic is seeking a skilled engineer to support an IPv6 implementation project for a client in the Washington, DC area. The position requires a qualified Information Security Analyst who is responsible for providing technical expertise in security best practices in designing, deploying, and configuring IPv6 across the client's VOIP and ROIP infrastructure.
Primary Skills/Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and manage security solutions for IPv6 networks.
- Conduct comprehensive IPv6 vulnerability assessments.
- Develop and maintain IPv6 security policies, procedures, and standards.
- Investigate and respond to IPv6-related security incidents.
- Provide training and guidance on IPv6 security best practices.
- Configure and manage Juniper firewalls, routers, and switches securely.
- Implement and maintain Juniper security features, such as intrusion prevention systems (IPS), virtual private networks (VPN), and application security.
- Monitor and analyze Juniper device logs for security events and anomalies.
- Troubleshoot and resolve Juniper-related security issues.
- Conduct regular security audits and assessments.
- Monitor and analyze security tools and logs for potential threats.
- Participate in incident response and remediation efforts.
- Collaborate with IT teams to implement and maintain security controls.
- Stay informed about emerging security threats and trends.
- Ability to quickly adapt to changing priorities as necessary, perform duties in a fast-paced environment, and manage diverse activities to meet competing deadlines.
- Ability to work independently and as a member of a team, to meet program objectives.
- Demonstrated effective interpersonal skills, strong organizational skills, strong oral and written communication skills, and attention to detail.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in network engineering, information systems, computer engineering, or related technical field.
- 4+ years of related experience in Cybersecurity or Cyber Network Defense.
