Summary:
The Shipping & Receiving Clerk is responsible for sending, accepting, and recording the movement of parts, supplies, materials, equipment, and stocking. In addition to tracking inventory and keeping records, they will also package items, inspect merchandise and complete other related duties.Key Duties and Responsibilities:Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions
- Inspects and verifies incoming goods against invoices or other documents, records shortages and rejects damaged goods.
- Organizes distribution and shipping of merchandise.
- Makes necessary verifications against documents, unpacks and routes goods to appropriate storage areas.
- Operate forklift, hand truck or other equipment to load, unload, transport and store goods.
- Enter items into MRP computer system by bin and part number.
- Complete all quality documents accurately.
- Placement and labeling of all goods in warehouse.
- Housekeeping to include bins, floors.
- Consolidation of like items on pallets to reduce bin locations.
- Merger of all like items within warehouse (bottles, cards, blisters, etc., in same area of warehouse).
- Ensure all products are covered and protected from dirt and contamination.
- Filling inventory requests for labs, sales, and R&D.
- Ensure locations and quantities on hand are accurate with computer counts.
- Work alongside order pickers in other departments to insure items are returned to proper locations with correct item counts.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications, Education and/or Experience Required:
- High school diploma preferred.
- Forklift certification strongly preferred.
- Must be able to verbally understand instructions and read/write English (Spanish a plus)
- Good hand/eye coordination.
- Some computer experience desired.
Language Skills:
- English required, bilingual (Spanish) a plus.
Physical Demands:
- Position requires walking, standing for prolonged periods, occasionally required to sit, climb, or balance, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl. May frequently lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
Work Environment:
- Non-temperature-controlled warehouse, non-temperature-controlled production floor, temperature-controlled office.
