Description
A Tresata Junior Systems Administrator is responsible for supporting and maintaining our IT infrastructure, ensuring optimal performance and reliability of systems, and assisting in the implementation of IT solutions.As part of our global IT team, the JSA will collaborate closely with senior administrators, engineers, and other cross-functional teams to support the continuous operation and enhancement of technology solutions.As a Junior System Administrator, you will:
- System Administration: Maintain and support Linux servers, ensuring their optimal performance, security, and availability. Apply patches, updates, and configuration changes as necessary.
- Configuration Management: Utilize Chef for automation of configuration management tasks. Ensure consistent and reproducible server configurations.
- Bash Scripting: Develop and maintain Bash scripts to automate routine tasks and streamline system administration processes.
- Cloud Services Management: Assist in managing AWS and Azure services, including EC2, S3, VPC, and Azure Virtual Machines. Help monitor and optimize cloud resources to ensure efficient utilization.
- Networking: Support the implementation and maintenance of networking policies, including firewall rules, VPNs, and DNS configurations. Troubleshoot network issues and ensure secure network communications.
- User Support: Provide technical support to internal users, resolving hardware and software issues in a timely and efficient manner. Document support cases and solutions for future reference.
- Security and Compliance: Assist in implementing security measures and maintaining compliance with industry standards. Perform routine security audits and vulnerability assessments.
- Monitoring and Reporting: Implement monitoring tools and set up alerts for system and network performance. Generate regular reports on system performance and resource utilization.
- Jamf Management: Support the management of Apple devices using Jamf. Ensure consistent policies and security measures across all managed devices.
- Asset Management: Track and maintain inventory of IT assets, including Configuring and deploying laptops for new hires and existing employees, ensuring proper setup, security measures, and necessary software installations.
Requirements
WHAT SKILLS/EXPERIENCE YOU NEED TO BRING
Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology or or relevant field required1-2 years of experience in system administration or a related role.Proficiency in Linux system administration and bash scripting is a must.Experience with Chef for configuration management.Basic knowledge of AWS and Azure services.Understanding of networking concepts and policies.Benefits
