Summary:
The Janitor is responsible for general upkeep of the building. Makes certain the building is clean and in orderly condition. Performs heavy cleaning duties, such as cleaning floors, washing walls and glass, removing rubbish, notifying management of need for repairs, and cleaning snow or debris from sidewalk, vacuuming, cleaning bathrooms and small repair work.
Duties and Responsibilities:

- General cleaning of the building and keeping it maintained and in good condition.
- Vacuum, sweep, and mop floors.
- Follow procedures for the use of chemical cleaners and power equipment, in order to prevent damage to floors and fixtures.
- Cleaning and stock restrooms.
- Ensure doors are locked after hours.
- Clean up spills with appropriate equipment.
- Perform minor repairs.
- Notify supervisors or managers of major repairs.
- Collect and dispose of trash.
- Upkeep plant care
- Complete tasks in a timely manner with minimal supervision.
- Keep cleaning supplies in stock.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications, Education, and/or Experience Required:
- High School Diploma or Equivalent.
- Must have a positive attitude and possess the ability to multitask and work well with others.
- Ability to organize and keep production tools and equipment in good working order.
- Handle basic maintenance, building repairs, cleaning, and other janitorial work.
Language Skills:
- English required; Spanish is a plus.
- Reasonable accommodations can be made, up to and including translation services.
Physical Demands:
- Position requires walking, standing for prolonged periods, occasionally required to sit, climb, or balance, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl. May frequently lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
Work Environment:
- Non-temperature-controlled warehouse, non-temperature-controlled production floor, temperature-controlled office.
