Job Summary:


As the Social Media Manager, you will develop and execute a comprehensive social media strategy to enhance our brand presence across various platforms, including Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, LinkedIn, and YouTube, as well as drive clients and prospects to engaging content on our website. You will be responsible for crafting engaging content, managing campaigns, analyzing performance, and collaborating with internal teams to achieve our business objectives.

Essential Job Functions:


  • Strategy Development: Develop and own a strategic social media plan that aligns with Mercer Advisors' goals.
  • Content Management: Share and promote Mercer Advisors’ content across multiple social media accounts. Plan, create, and manage monthly editorial calendar, including crafting copy and collaborating with the content team on visual assets.
  • Campaign Execution: Plan and execute social media campaigns to grow followings, drive website traffic, and increase brand recognition.
  • Engagement Monitoring: Monitor social media engagement metrics, such as mentions, comments, likes, and inbound messaging. Coordinate responses as needed and maintain a high level of engagement with our audience.
  • Analytics and Optimization: Track and analyze social media performance. Develop optimization recommendations and manage their implementation to ensure effectiveness.
  • Paid and Organic Integration: Collaborate with the paid advertising specialist to develop and execute organic social campaigns that complement paid strategies, optimizing based on performance results.
  • New Initiatives: Lead the strategy for new social media initiatives, including social selling, executive visibility, PR/Awards strategy, and more.
  • Content Management Tools: Manage writing and adding to the library of social media content for advisors, M&A, and others using Hearsay Social.
  • Compliance: Work closely with the compliance team to ensure all social media activities adhere to regulatory processes and explore opportunities for increasing efficiency while maintaining compliance.
  • Trend Research: Stay updated on market trends and competitor activities. Serve as a subject matter expert on social media marketing, especially within the financial services sector.
  • Creative Collaboration: Explore and develop innovative visual and verbal social elements in collaboration with the creative team.
  • Best Practices: Advise advisors and stakeholders on social media best practices and effective use of Hearsay Social.
  • Continuous Learning: Stay abreast of evolving social media trends and be willing to adapt strategies as needed.

Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:


  • Strategic Thinking: Ability to develop comprehensive social media strategies that align with business goals and drive results. Proficiency in building and growing social media channels, driving prospects to content, and understanding audience communication strategies.
  • Experience: Proven experience developing social strategies, including YouTube, that have garnered measurable results.
  • Creativity: Strong creative skills to engage audiences and attract new followers while maintaining a professional tone. Excellent writing skills and understanding of content tone for different audiences.
  • Analytical Skills: Ability to analyze data and provide actionable insights to prove the effectiveness of social media strategies.
  • Organization: Highly organized with a structured approach to content promotion and stakeholder management.
  • Self-Starter: Proactive and motivated, able to take initiative and work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Teamwork: Ability to collaborate effectively with various stakeholders, including subject matter experts, writers, and designers.
  • Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills. Ability to collaborate closely with the VP of Content.

Qualifications:


  • Experience in the financial industry is essential.
  • 5-7 years of proven success in social media field.
  • Knowledge of social channels, algorithms, and best practices
  • Knowledge and previous experience with Hearsay Social a plus
  • Ability to write strong copy that will drive results
  • Strong analytical and strategic thinking skills

Working Conditions:

 Professional office environment, daytime hours, working inside, standing, and sitting, will be assigned to a workstation.
