Kimco’s Research and Data Analytics Department is currently seeking a Research and Data Analyst to join our collaborative, challenging, growth-oriented team. We're seeking smart, driven candidates who are passionate about a career in real estate.Responsibilities:
- Perform data analysis to include data validation, investigation, and testing of hypotheses
- Assist in the collection, cleaning, processing, and validating of internal and external data
- Help design and build reports and products that will create insights for the company's leasing and management teams
- Distill retail / real estate ideas into small data science projects, with ownership of the entire project timeline, including idea generation, communication with experts in the field, data analysis and visualization / communication of findings
- Analyze and summarize key findings of research, create reports and presentations for internal and external use
- Work with a variety of commercial real estate market data, retailer and real estate performance data, demographic data, and internal data as well as other third-party data
- Support research on demographic and economic trends, retail and business activity, and retailer performance
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in data science, computer science, statistics, finance, economics, real estate, or related field
- At least 2 years' post college experience in a similar role
- Python (pandas, numpy, statsmodels, sklearn and related data libraries)
- Ability to construct intermediate SQL queries
- Mastery of Excel and strong PowerPoint skills, with the ability to learn internal systems
- Intermediate Power BI, Tableau and BI development a plus
- Interest in commercial real estate and how to assist critical business functions, including management, leasing, marketing, and IR through data analysis
- Strong financial/analytical/research skills either through college course work, internships, or work experience
- Ability to interpret and present complex information, assist in data storytelling
- Ability to work independently and within a team environment. Ability to work in a hybrid work environment.
- Commercial real estate industry experience a plus
The expected salary range for this position is between $80,000 and $115,000.
