Realpage is seeking for a highly impactful resourceful DB Architect to join to support SQL Server and Support Technology Solutions team and help manage its infrastructure with effective services and support. The role is critical and would support infrastructure needs globally and would involve in DB support for SQL Server with T SQL Skills, Performance Monitoring, Query Optimization and DB Architect as required on time-to-time basis. Must be a motivated, team player with the ability to work cross-functionally with a can-do and do-it-right attitude and willingness to mentor others.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Utilize experience in DB technologies to design schemas, tune queries, optimize performance, and gather diagnostics
- Develop T-SQL queries and stored procedures
- Apply expertise in SQL and database-level performance tuning
- Handle cloud-related tasks including migration and monitoring
- Use expertise in database scripting and automation technology
- Manage large scale databases using appropriate methodologies and processes
- Provide insights into changing database utilization requirements and offer suggestions for improvements
- Analyze and implement database standards in line with company policy
- Develop database solutions and implement disaster recovery plans
- Analyze database structural requirements for new software and applications
- Recommend solutions to improve new and existing database systems
- Apply experience with performance tuning
- Understand and apply index design and performance-tuning techniques
- Utilize expert knowledge of SQL internals and DMVs
- Apply scripting and automation knowledge as required
TECHNICAL REQUIREMENTS
- Expert level proficiency in SQL Server - architecture, configuration, stored procedures, queries
- Experience with Cloud and hybrid-cloud implementations
- Highly skilled in urgent real time troubleshooting
- Experience with performance tuning
- Understanding of index design and performance-tuning techniques

- Expert Knowledge of SQL Internal & DMVs
- Storage optimization and Monitoring
- Excellent understanding of database design and development
- Experience working with Extended events/SQL profiler and other troubleshooting tools
- Experience with very large databases and/or data warehousing
- Familiarity with RDBMS principles, database design and normalization
- Ability to develop scripts to load test data
- Perform problem determination (root cause analysis) and document the source of problems and their resolution
- Experience with source control systems such as GIT,TFS, SVN
- Microsoft Best Practices with regards to developing T-SQL queries and stored procedures
- Microsoft Best Practices with regards to database maintenance thresholds for consistency checks, index fragmentation, statistics, backups, restores
- Reviewing execution plans and not only determine possible indexing changes, but also know how to refactor T-SQL statements to achieve optimal performance
- Reporting Services, Integration Services, Analysis Services
- Documentation of solutions (eg Data Models, Configurations and Setup)

EDUCATION & SOFT SKILLS
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science or related field is strongly desired Microsoft Certified in SQL,
- 10-15 years of experience with Multi Cloud (AWS, Azure, GCP etc) skills
- SQL Server 2016/2019 & higher versions
- Experience with data migration from legacy systems
- Strong scripting skills and working knowledge of PowerShell or any scripting language
- Strong experience with performance optimization and tuning with database applications
- Expert knowledge on Always-On Availability Groups and Listener
- Strong Windows systems, clustering, and scripting proficiency
- Familiarity with database backup and recovery strategies
- Strong familiarity with SSIS, SSRS and Analysis Services
- Experience with TDE encryption
