ForeFlight is looking for a strong algorithm developer who is familiar with C++ to join the Debrief team to work on the flight analyzer. We are looking for a talented Software Engineer with a strong mathematical background and expertise in statistical analysis to join our dynamic team.
This is a unique opportunity for a person with strong mathematical thinking and analytical skills, who also enjoys writing robust production code, to increase pilot proficiency and flight safety. As a member of the team, you will be responsible for developing and maintaining software that processes and analyzes flight data. You will work on implementing and optimizing algorithms related to statistical analysis, sampling mechanisms, and data processing. You will collaborate closely with other engineers and product managers to deliver high-quality features that enhance the ForeFlight Debrief experience.This position is based in any of our three offices, and remote options are available.
A pilot-coder, or individual looking to pursue their private pilot license, is a plus.
Required Skills
- Advanced proficiency in C++
- Solid working knowledge of signal processing, pattern recognition, Kalman filter, Monte Carlo method, and similar techniques
- Experience deploying and scaling applications using cloud service providers
- 5+ years of experience in similar role
