Full-timeDescriptionWe are looking for a Website Systems Specialist to ensure the seamless operation and functionality of our clients' websites. In this pivotal role, you will be responsible for maintaining up-to-date website software and managing domain ownership. Collaboration with the Customer Success and Web Development teams will be essential as you address compatibility issues and migrate websites with minimal disruption. The ideal candidate will demonstrate a proactive approach to problem-solving and a commitment to delivering high-quality performance, ultimately contributing to client satisfaction and industry excellence.

OBJECTIVES:


  • Ensure all client websites are up-to-date with the latest versions of software, maintaining security and operational efficiency.
  • Manage domain registrations, renewals, and transfers to guarantee uninterrupted website accessibility.
  • Collaborate with Customer Success and Web Development teams to address compatibility issues that may arise from new software implementations.
  • Coordinate website migrations to new servers or platforms, prioritizing minimal downtime and data protection.
  • Quickly identify and resolve website functionality issues to limit disruption to clients' services.
  • Oversee the WordPress installation system, ensuring its regular updates and configurations support optimal website performance.
  • Monitor website performance and security consistently, using automated tools and manual checks to proactively detect and rectify potential issues.
  • Stay abreast of the latest trends and best practices in website management and security, enhancing our services with innovative solutions to meet client needs.

COMPETENCIES:


  • Solid understanding of website software, particularly WordPress, along with familiarity in web hosting environments, server management, and domain registration processes.
  • Skilled in troubleshooting website performance and security metrics, identifying potential issues, and enhancing areas for improvement.
  • Attentive to detail when reviewing domains associated with clients, cleaning up server files, and ensuring data accuracy and organizational standards.
  • Capable of multitasking, handling functionality tickets, monitoring domains and websites, and adapting to changing priorities while maintaining service consistency and reliability.
  • Effective communication skills to convey technical information to non-technical stakeholders in both written and oral forms.
  • Proficiency in web technologies such as HTML, CSS, JavaScript, PHP, and MySQL.
  • Proficiency with Linux command line.
  • Familiarity with domain registration and DNS management.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:


  • 3+ years of experience in website systems management, web development, or a related role, with a focus on quality assurance processes, including regular updates and testing to ensure high standards are met.
  • 3+ years experience implementing and managing website security measures, including SSL certificates, firewalls, and security plugins.
  • Extensive background in working with various Content Management Systems, with a focus on WordPress.
  • Substantial experience in server management and hosting environments, encompassing cPanel, WHM, and diverse web hosting services.
  • College degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Web Development, Digital Media, Information Systems Security or other related industry is highly preferred

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:


  • Prolonged periods of time sitting at a desk or computer.
  • Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.
