The Sr. Technical Product Manager will oversee the development, implementation, and maintenance of internal digital company systems and processes. This role requires a deep understanding of technical trends and the ability to assess emerging products and technologies. The ideal candidate will work closely with development, engineering, infrastructure, and networking teams to ensure the successful delivery of digital solutions that meet the company's objectives.
Qualifications:• Education: Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.• Experience: Minimum of 8 years of product management experience, specifically in the technology or healthcare sector, with at least 3 years as a technical product manager.• Technical Skills:· Proven familiarity with product management tools (e.g., JIRA, Smartsheet, Microsoft Projects, Miro, Fima, etc.)· Knowledge of APIs, integration techniques, and how different software systems communicate with each other.· Familiarity with cloud services and platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud Platform) and understanding of cloud architecture.· Ability to analyze data to make data-driven decisions.· Proficiency in SQL and experience with data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI) are beneficial.Duties and Responsibilities:· Oversee the development, implementation, and maintenance of internal digital systems and processes.· Troubleshoot potential issues with digital systems and processes.· Understand, research, and follow technical trends in the industry and in general to maintain the company’s competitive edge· Assess emerging products and companies to measure their potential value or threat to the company's products/portfolio and make recommendations on which new technologies to invest in or leverage.· Form close working relationships with software development, infrastructure, and networking teams as well as stakeholders from partner business units including commercial, billing, bioinformatics and others.· Assess the accuracy of engineering estimates, create and review technical specifications, architecture, and networking plans.· Participate in security, scalability, and infrastructure activities.· Define success criteria for testing and product acceptance, and coordinate beta tests.· Facilitate the creation and maintenance of proper product documentation.· Monitor product performance and gather feedback to iterate and improve product offerings.EEO Statement:Baylor Genetics is proud to be an equal opportunity employer dedicated to building an inclusive and diverse workforce.
