Position Summary:
As a Maintenance Technician, you will work on both low and high-voltage electrical, mechanical, and HVAC systems, demonstrating a strong technical background and hands-on experience in maintenance and repair.
Key Roles / Responsibilities:
- Diagnose and repair electrical issues in equipment and systems.
- Perform routine inspections to identify potential electrical problems.
- Install, maintain, and repair electrical components and wiring.
- Conduct regular inspections of machinery and mechanical systems.
- Troubleshoot and repair mechanical failures and malfunctions.
- Performs preventive maintenance to ensure optimal equipment performance.
- Inspect and maintain heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems.
- Diagnose and repair HVAC equipment malfunctions.
- Conduct regular preventative maintenance on HVAC systems.
- Work with low and high voltage systems according to safety guidelines.
- Perform certified work on both low and high voltage electrical systems.
- Ensure compliance with electrical codes and regulations.
- Calibrate and adjust equipment to maintain accuracy and efficiency.
- Document calibration procedures and results.
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, repairs, and inspections.
- Provide reports on equipment status and maintenance history.
Required Education, Experience, and Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Technical degree or certification in electrical, mechanical, and HVAC systems preferred.
- Minimum of five years of experience in a multi-line manufacturing environment
- Good communication skills both written and verbal in English language.
Working Conditions:
- Bending, lifting, climbing, pushing, pulling, kneeling, sitting stand, walk, kneel, stoop, squat, pull, push, climb, crouch, crawl, talk, hear, and see and standing (occasionally) for long periods of time.
- The essential duties of this position require moderate to heavy lifting and carrying.
- Must be able to position oneself to work in confined spaces such as trenches, pits, manholes, attics, and tunnels and demonstrate manual dexterity and be able to use hands to handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls.
- Exposure to moderate noise levels, vibrations, and bright lights; and exposure to dust, fumes, and gases; and all climate types including hot and cold temperatures, humidity, rain, snow, etc.
- Able to wear common protective or safety equipment such as safety shoes, glasses, gloves, hearing protection and hard hats when needed.
- React quickly using hands, fingers, or feet.
- Must be able to comprehend and follow written and oral instructions.
- Must be able to complete tasks even with frequent interruptions.
- Must be able to use discretion and independent judgment as needed.
- Must be able to speak clearly on the phone and to fellow workers.
