Position Overview
The Planning Analyst, a fully remote position, will report directly to the Senior Manager, Planning & Inventory Management, and plays a critical role on the Planning and Inventory Management team by using the analytical, merchandising, and sales data of the company to effectively estimate future inventory needs based on a unit sales forecast. The duties of this position include planning optimal inventory, analyzing statistical data, and generating forecasting solutions in both physical and virtual environments.
Essential job functions:
- Develop, maintain, and improve a unit sales forecast and inventory plan for a specific business category or grouping of regions
- Ensure the alignment of this forecast with internal and external partners through the monthly business planning processes
- Identify/manage exceptions, and monitor performance to continually improve the quality and reliability of the plan
- Assist in maximizing sales and profit through proper planning and influencing of inventory placement with key partners
- Improve forecast accuracy by analyzing forecast error, recommending, and implementing appropriate action plans.
- Develop and maintain reports to track and monitor the forecasts, alerts for corrections/improvements and other analytical insights

Qualifications
Minimum Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Finance, Business Administration, Engineering preferred, or equivalent work experience.
- 2-4 years of professional experience in Supply Chain and/or Planning required
- Exceptional Analytical Skills - demonstrated experience with Excel, Access, and/or SQL
- Familiarity with data visualization tools (such as PowerBI or Tableau)

- Strong analytical and data driven mindset to interpret data , customer behavior, and trends to inform decisions
- Passion for business and driving results
- Effective written and verbal communication skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams, and convey product screen strategies and insights
- The ability to identify challenges and propose innovative solutions
Working Conditions and Physical Effort
- Ability to sit for long periods of time.
- Talking through the computer for many meetings and one-to-one conversations
- Continuous viewing of a computer monitor and data entry.
- Travel as necessary (<10%).
