Role Overview:
We’re looking for a Senior Product Manager to join our General Protection team and lead the development of our consumer privacy tools. You’ll be reporting to our Director of Product, who’s responsible for all of Aura’s core privacy and security tools. Your mission, should you choose to accept it, is to take the reins and steer the future of our online privacy products, empowering consumers to stand tall against the onslaught of data-hungry entities.
What You’ll Do:
- Product Strategy & Vision: Forget the buzzwords. You need to understand what privacy really means to people and develop a product vision that aligns with our company’s goals and makes users feel genuinely protected. Your strategy needs to be clear, actionable and thoughtfully communicated.
- Defining and Measuring Success: We’re not interested in vanity metrics. Define, track, and report on the metrics that matter. If you can’t show how your work is making a difference, we’re not doing it right.
- End-to-End Execution: You’ll own the product lifecycle. From the first idea to the final launch, it’s on you to make sure everything comes together. Work with design, engineering, marketing, and others to bring products to life. There’s no room for silos here.
- Customer Empathy: Know our users. Understand their frustrations, their needs, and what keeps them up at night. Use real data, talk to real people, and never assume you know what they want without evidence.
- Business Focus: Your job isn’t just to make cool products; it’s to make products that succeed in the market. Turn what you learn from customers into business opportunities. We’re here to build tools that not only work but also sell.
- Communication: Keep it simple and keep everyone informed. Whether you’re talking to the executive team or explaining things to a new hire, make sure your message is clear. Be ready to repeat yourself until everyone gets it.
What You Bring to the Table:
- Experience: 5+ years in product management with 2+ years owning end to end product outcomes in a SaaS business, ideally focused on consumer privacy or security. You know what it takes to build and launch successful products, especially in a subscription-driven business.
- Business Impact: You have a proven track record of hitting business goals while keeping the customer front and center.
- Curiosity & Thoughtfulness: You don’t need to have all the answers, but you should know how to ask the right questions. You think critically and aren’t afraid to challenge the status quo.
- Data-Fluent: Numbers don’t scare you. You know how to measure success and make data-informed decisions. You understand key SaaS metrics and how to integrate them into product development.
- Customer Empathy: You don’t just listen to users—you get them. You know how to turn customer insights into products that solve real problems.
- Communication Skills: You can explain complex ideas in a way that resonates with the audience. You can use multiple mediums to get the job done. Whether you’re writing requirements or giving a presentation, you get your point across clearly.
- Collaboration: You’ve worked in cross-functional teams before and know how to bring people together. Designers, engineers, marketers—you can speak all their languages.
