What We’re Looking For
We are seeking a Structural Engineer to join the Mighty Buildings Product team. You will work directly with our engineers and architects, supporting new construction projects and business initiatives. Your role will involve working with and developing Mighty Buildings’ prefabricated panelized construction systems.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Project Design: Develop structural designs for US-based and international client projects utilizing Mighty Buildings’ panelized construction system;Create detailed structural Revit models, perform calculations, and generate accurate drawings. Prepare take-offs and support cost estimation processes.
- Product Development: Identify new product opportunities using MIghty Buildings technology and develop designs, typical structural details, and full-scale mockups.
- Structural Analysis: Conduct comprehensive structural analyses to assess the load-bearing capacity and stability of various components, including steel, structural insulated panels, and wood framing
- Design Collaboration and Problem Solving: Collaborate closely with architects, construction teams, and other engineers to integrate structural elements seamlessly into overall building designs.
- Building Code Compliance: Ensure all designs and construction practices comply with local building codes, environmental conditions, and industry standards to maintain structural integrity and building safety.
What’s Required
- Bachelor’s in Civil Engineering (Master’s preferred), major in Structural Engineering. Familiarity with seismic design.
- Proven experience with Revit, Autocad and/or structural FEM software, and structural design analysis software.
- Professional Engineer (PE) license, with strong knowledge of seismic design.
- At least 5 years of work experience in residential or commercial construction.
- Strong understanding of building codes, safety regulations, and construction methods. Ability to implement United States building and local zoning code requirements, particularly for California and Florida.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
