OVERVIEW


Modern Treasury is hiring a Product Manager to join our Ledgers team and deliver real-time financial reporting for customers. You will work on the most fast-growing, novel, and technically sophisticated product within Modern Treasury’s money movement platform.Ledgers is a category-defining financial database product. Modern Treasury introduced the concept of a managed application ledger 3 years ago and has partnered with innovative companies like Justworks, Bilt Rewards, Splitwise, and ClassPass to power transactions that millions of consumers experience in their day-to-day lives.As a Product Manager, you will take over relationships with an established set of Ledgers customers and use metrics to understand which customer problems to prioritize.

You will deeply understand the business problems that we solve for their engineering and management teams and use your skills to translate these solutions into new features.

ABOUT MODERN TREASURY


Modern Treasury is the operating system for Money Movement. Our suite of APIs move finance and product teams forward with faster payments, automatic reconciliation, and real-time financial data. Our tools automate the full cycle of money movement—from payment initiation through approvals, to reconciliation.

ABOUT THE ROLE


As a Product Manager on Ledgers, you will focus particularly on workflows around financial reporting in the Ledgers product. You will report to and work alongside the Manager, Ledgers Product. Your responsibilities will include:


  • Owning feature development all the way from investigation to delivery for real-time financial reporting solutions such as variance and aging reports.

  • Effectively setting up instrumentation and defining metrics to identify common usage patterns among customers, as well as to explore features like anomaly detection.

  • Building deep empathy with our active Ledgers operations users by building relationships and understanding their workflows. Representing the voice of these operational users when defining quarterly roadmap and sprint cycles.

  • Working nimbly with engineering pods within the existing Ledgers team to ship solutions to customer requests and incidents.

  • Empathy for engineering and financial users: You can quickly get up to speed on the daily workflows of users looking for real-time visibility into financial systems.

  • Product sense in operational interfaces: You may have designed user-facing features from a blank page and are comfortable investigating, defining, and sketching out UI or API features independently.

  • Curiosity about complex payments problems: You are eager to quickly learn about the intersection of accounting and engineering so that we can derive clear insights from deep and complex graphs of financial transactions.
