About the Role:
As our Events Marketing expert, you’ll get to own and drive our events strategy to showcase CaptivateIQ to industry leaders at leading industry events, conferences, roadshows, and any hosted events put on by CaptivateIQ. Responsible for driving brand awareness and pipeline, successful candidates will have experience with field and ABM event marketing, project management, production, and cross-functional collaboration. You are an experienced events manager with a strong program management background and have experience managing agencies for both virtual and in-person events.
You’re also someone who stays ahead of the latest experiential innovations in the industry and is comfortable with taking calculated risks in order to drive impactful experiences that accelerate CaptivateIQ’s growth. You understand how events widen brand visibility and increase touchpoints with high-priority targets, leads, and customers.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and own a comprehensive portfolio of events, including tradeshows, industry conferences, roundtables, roadshows, partner events, and more.
- Research industry events, build vendor relationships, and evaluate sponsorship/participation based on CaptivateIQ’s objectives and target audience.
- Think creatively about prospect experience at both virtual and in-person events and build experiences that surpass expectations for attendees.
- Collaborate with sales and marketing teams to develop, implement, and analyze marketing initiatives and event strategies in support of pipeline targets.
- Work with the content team on speaker selection, agenda creation and management, and presentation creation and management.
- Define event success criteria, including OKRs, communication channels, and setting clear goals for each event; drive tight post-event follow up to maximize impact.
- Conduct pre-event briefs, post-event reports, including but not limited to attendee surveys, analytics, and lessons learned.
- Communicate the results and make recommendations for optimizing future campaigns (KPIs, budget, ROI, planning, etc).
- Create processes to drive effective and streamlined decision making; Manage our events budget to ensure we’re hitting goals and staying on track.
- Support executive scheduling at events, including engagements with prospects and customers
Requirements:
- 5+ years in event management or a similar role
- Exceptional at planning, executing, and facilitating follow-up for tradeshows and third-party conferences from strategy through execution (mastery of pre-, during, and post-event workflows)
- Proven track record of successfully designing & managing various types of MQL and pipeline-producing events (in-person events, virtual conferences, webinars, and hybrid events)
- Experience creating and executing programs that increase brand awareness, drive customer engagement, and generate pipeline
- Highly organized self-starter who can think strategically and work autonomously under their own initiative – possesses strong project expense, and time-management skills
- Proven grasp of event analytics, audience development, and deriving insights from data to demonstrate ROI and inform future strategy
- Exceptional project management and cross-functional collaboration skills, with experience gaining team consensus and driving deliverables with an owner mindset
- Strong executive presence, internal & external communication, and presentation skills
- Creative, innovative, and resourceful with a get-it-done mentality while operating true to our values
- Proven track record of managing a large events budget

$91,000 - $136,000 a yearCaptivateIQ takes a market-based approach to pay, and the base salary range for this job posting shows the minimum and maximum target starting base salary. The successful candidate’s starting base salary will be determined based on the candidate’s job-related skills, relevant experience, education, work location, market conditions, and other factors.
