The Problems You'll Solve
The Specialist will help provide leverage to the entire Policy function as it supports Carta. This includes project management, coalition building, policy analysis and formation, event execution, and administrative support. This role will be as big as you make it, and will serve as a jumping off point for your career at Carta. We expect this opportunity to provide the foundation and business acumen for a successful transition into multiple disciplines within Carta. In this role, you will:
- Inform and support the execution of strategic public policy objectives, including shaping our strategy; tracking legislative and regulatory developments; tracking the team's progress, timelines, and deliverables; preparing for meetings, conference calls, and webinars; and executing on next steps with internal and external partners
- Monitor key policy developments at state and federal level, communicating issues and our actions to stakeholders
- Structure execution plans on public policy initiatives, coalition building, and external events
- Assist in stakeholder mapping (at federal, state, and regional levels) and execution
- Manage relationship engagements for policy team and the CEO, Platform team, and Business Units
- Develop written briefing and report materials for internal and external audiences, including communications with the Hill, a weekly newsletter, social channels, and other distribution channels
- Coordinate across coalitions and plan strategic events
- Help ensure compliance on lobbying, ethics, and political action committee rules and procedures
- Provide administrative support for the team, including aiding in managing team calendars, procurement requests, and office needs
- Identify ways to improve our process, communication, tracking frameworks, and results

About You

Salary
Carta’s compensation package includes a market competitive salary, equity for all full time roles, exceptional benefits, and, for applicable roles, commissions plans. Our minimum cash compensation (salary + commission if applicable).
