About the Role đź“–
Key responsibilities include:
Assist with AR tasks such as invoicing and collections
Reconciling Balance Sheet accounts
Assist with Month End Close tasks
Prepare monthly reporting for management accounts
Analyse variances and be comfortable explaining movements
Review work of junior accountant to ensure accuracy
Document and monitor internal controls processes in the Finance Team
Liaise with clients on queries and reconciliations
Recording transactions in our ERP and Reachdesk Platform
Develop processes within finance team to improve our controls environment and ensure accuracy of financial data
About You đź‘Ť
The successful candidate will have:
Experience completing audit processes for a multi-entity global business (US + UK experience preferred)
ACCA/ACA Qualified
Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
Experience at a high-growth startup (ideally Marketplace or SaaS)
Experience operating at a global company with entities outside of the UK, especially Portugal and the United States is essential
Understanding of US GAAP and IFRS, particularly with application of ASC 606
Excellent analytical, communication and problem-solving skills
Advanced MS Excel skills are critical
Experience with Xero, Netsuite (or other Tier 1 ERP), Salesforce, and BI tools like Looker or Sisense are a plus
High attention to accuracy and detail required
Exceptional work ethic, with the discernible ability to “roll up your sleeves” and lead by example.
