This role requires a strategic thinker who can oversee media relations, content strategy, and topic curation, empowering media and journalists to cover our company's activities.
The position is open to applicants located in North America
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement media relations strategies to enhance brand visibility and reputation.
- Collaborate with media outlets and journalists to pitch and coordinate coverage of company events and developments.
- Lead content strategy by curating article topics and coordinating content creation by external writers.
- Review and approve content submissions to ensure alignment with brand messaging and quality standards.
- Manage relationships with key media contacts and influencers in the industry.
- Plan and execute media campaigns and press events to increase company exposure.
Requirements
- Proven experience in media relations, content strategy, or related roles, preferably in the technology or blockchain industry.
- Strong understanding of North American media landscape and best practices.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships with journalists and media partners.
- Strategic thinker with the ability to identify compelling story angles and content topics.
- Experience managing external content contributors and reviewing/approving content submissions.
- Bachelor's degree in communications, marketing, or a related field.
Interview Process
- Recruiter Call: A brief 15-30 minute discussion to go over your background and the role.
- Test: You may be required to complete an online test or a take-home assignment to assess your skills relevant to the position.
- Team Interview: A more in-depth session lasting 45-60 minutes with the team you'll be working with, focusing on your technical skills and team fit.
- Final Interview: A concluding interview of approximately 45 minutes that may involve higher-level management or final decision-makers.
All interviews will be conducted via Zoom or Google Meeting, accommodating a fully remote recruitment process to best suit candidates globally.
