About the Role:
Helika is seeking a skilled and experienced Data Scientist to join our Machine Learning team. Based in The Philippines, you will work closely with our Tech Lead and other team members to develop, deploy, and optimize machine learning models that are foundational to our mission of optimizing games for the studios we partner with. If you are passionate about data science, have a strong technical background, and thrive in a collaborative environment, we would love to hear from you.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop and implement machine learning models and data-driven solutions to address complex business problems, with a focus on optimizing game performance for our clients.
Analyze and interpret large datasets to extract actionable insights that drive game optimization and player engagement.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including engineering, product, and operations, to integrate and deploy models into production environments that scale effectively.
Design and conduct experiments, including A/B testing, to evaluate the performance of machine learning models and continuously improve their scalability and effectiveness.
Write structured SQL queries to manipulate and retrieve data for analysis and model development.
Leverage big data tools and platforms, such as AWS and Airflow, to manage and process large datasets efficiently.
Requirements:
3+ years of experience in data science and machine learning modeling.
Proficiency in Python and experience with relevant ML libraries and frameworks (e.g., Pandas, PyTorch, Scikit-learn, TensorFlow).
Strong knowledge and hands-on experience in several of the following areas: machine learning, data analytics, statistics, optimization, and experimentation.
Solid ability to write structured SQL queries for data manipulation purposes.
Experience with big data tools and platforms such as AWS, Airflow, and/or similar technologies.
Excellent communication and teamwork skills, with a focus on clarity and driving impact.
Nice to Have:
Experience in developing and deploying machine learning pipelines into production environments, ensuring their scalability and performance.
Experience in designing and analyzing A/B tests and model results.
