Job Description
The Graphic/Multimedia Designer (Contractor) will translate concepts and ideas into compelling visual brand representations, in both print and multimedia, that engage, inform, and inspire. A key driver of the company’s goals and objectives, the individual in this role will collaborate with teams across the organization to address all graphic and multimedia design needs, stewarding brand guidelines and elevating the company’s visual identity across a range of initiatives. The successful candidate will have expert knowledge of current design software and be skilled in every step of the design process, from concept to final deliverable.
Responsibilities and Duties
- Lead a wide range of graphic and multimedia projects, using various software programs to visualize and develop innovative designs that meet or exceed business goals
- Collaborate, brainstorm, and strategize with multiple teams on a wide range of materials that may include web pages, landing pages, presentations, social media, email, video and video editing, webinars, marketing materials, signage, ads, internal communications, newsletters, and more
- Translate written or spoken ideas into concepts that connect, turning strategic direction into high-quality graphic and multimedia designs within an established brand identity
- Generate a range of branded videos, transforming raw content into polished final products adhering to brand guidelines and inspiring audiences
- Obtain input from teammates to ensure that designs and deliverables meet organizational standards and brand expectations, express ideas accurately, and represent the company appropriately
- Work independently as well as cooperatively with the marketing team to meet deadlines, manage concurrent priorities, and effectively balance project workload, which may often include several simultaneous initiatives
- Develop original concepts by hand or with software, and execute impactful content by determining the ideal usage of color, text, font style, imagery, and layout
- Examine existing processes, identify flaws, and create solutions that improve design capabilities
- Update and maintain internal databases for designs, video, and photography
- Manage the design, approval, quality, distribution, and printing/production process for all project materials, based on best practices for using a content management system
- Contribute to marketing operations and digital marketing initiatives such as campaign development and website development
- Contribute to the generation and execution of new creative marketing campaigns, supporting general marketing coordination needs and responsibilities
Qualifications
- 2-5 years of design experience with design software, including Illustrator, InDesign, Photoshop, preferably in a creative or marketing agency
- Exceptional creativity and innovative design skills, with established graphic and multimedia design portfolio
- Deep demonstrated understanding of branding and marketing, ability to find the right style and layout for every project.
- Critical thinker and self-starter who works proactively and collaboratively to identify key business opportunities and solutions
- Organizational and time-management skills for meeting deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent project management and organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines
- Proven record of strong results orientation
- Strong interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively within a cross-functional team
- Excellent communication and presentation skills
- Flexibility & ability to work in a fast paced and dynamic environment
- Experience with CRM and automation platforms such as Wordpress, Pardot and Hubspot
- Photography experience and proficiency with photo-editing software
