What you'll be doing...
The Assistant Manager assists in the day-to-day operations of the Health and Welfare Claims Audit Department, which includes associate and department oversight and working on special projects. The department is responsible for auditing claims for quality control, serving as the liaison for preferred networks, reviewing third party liability/subrogation, and partnering with case managers/stop loss vendors.Leading a team of employees, you will:
- Ensure internal and external claims audit results meet industry standards
- Direct, coach and mentor team so that work is completed accurately and timely
- Manage achievement of associate and department goals and standards
- Ensure compliance with DOL and department requirements to complete claims
- Foster positive professional working relationships with team, peers, vendors and management
This position has a hybrid work schedule with 3 days per week in the office. The position can be based in our Seattle, Mountlake Terrace or Federal Way office.
Who you are...
- Educated. BA degree (preferred) or combination of relevant education and experience
- Experienced. Extensive experience in claims and/or industry knowledge
- Leadership. Supervisory experience leading, developing, and motivating teams
- Communication. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Organized. Exceptional organizational skills and ability to manage competing priorities
