Capital Markets Consultant
to join the Capital Markets team. This is a
part time
(20-30 hrs weekly)
3-4 months consultant project
to help redefine, develop and execute on the company’s capital markets strategy. Exciting project to set up a new facility from the ground up, as well as to improve and manage existing facilities and streamline capital markets processes. The project requires a deep understanding of financial markets, credit strategies and fundraising. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in investment banking, corporate finance, or related fields, with proven leadership experience in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.
🚀 The Job:
- Launch of a new facility: in charge of project management across internal and external stakeholders to ensure our new vehicle is abiding by all commercial, regulatory and legal terms; as well as set up all the internal infrastructure to manage the day to day operations of the facility
- Enhance and improve day to day CapM operations: take full ownership of processes, whilst working cross functionally to create efficiencies to achieve operational excellence
- Manage the day to day of existing facilities: work alongside the Risk, Sales and Operations teams to ensure we are utilizing all facilities in an efficient way, always abiding by the mandates and ensuring
- Limit management & reporting: as part of relationship management with investors, ensure we are managing portfolio limits appropriately, propose and implement new enhancements to our capital framework
🧠 The requirements:
- BA/BS degree economics, finance, business administration or a related field preferred
- 3-4+ years of prior experience at an investment bank, asset manager, credit fund, lender or other relevant financial services industry
- Experience with alternative lending and balance sheet lending platformsExtremely strong external communication skillsSelf-starter able to manage workloads and balance competing high priority tasks in a fast-paced startup environmentSuperior attention to detail and accuracy and excellent organizational skillsDedication to continual improvement; strong sense of ownership and accountability
