[ Your Mission ]
Drive Financial Excellence with Precision.As Finance Director for Bokksu KK, you will be instrumental in driving our financial success in Japan. Based in Tokyo and reporting to the NYC-based CFO, you will oversee accounting operations, support multinational reporting, and develop financial strategies to fuel our profitable growth.
[ Your Responsibilities ]
- Accounting Acumen: Oversee and manage the accounting operations for Bokksu KK, ensuring compliance with J-GAAP while supporting the consolidation of financial statements under US-GAAP.
- Cash Management: Manage cash flow, payroll and payment flows, intra-company payment transfers, and optimize transfer pricing strategies to ensure efficiency and compliance with global tax regulations.
- Multinational Reporting: Provide accurate and timely multinational financial reporting, working closely with our US team to ensure alignment and compliance with both local and global standards.
- Financial Planning & Analysis: Lead budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting efforts to identify opportunities for revenue growth and cost efficiency, delivering actionable insights to the executive team.
- External Partnerships: Cultivate new and manage existing relationships with external consultants, accounting agencies, financial partners, banks, and other vendors, ensuring favorable terms and successful collaborations.
- People Partner: Collaborate with the Japan Country Manager to oversee and support people operations, including working with local labor authorities to ensure compliance with Japanese employment regulations.
- Strategic Guidance: Provide strategic financial guidance to support company-wide initiatives, fostering a culture of financial discipline and growth.
[ Your Qualifications ]
- Proven track record as a Finance Director or senior financial role in a multinational company.
- Extensive experience with three-statement financial modeling.
- Expertise in financial modeling, J-GAAP, and US GAAP, with experience in multinational reporting.
- Demonstrated ability to manage budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis processes.
- Experience in managing relationships with external consultants, financial partners, and vendors.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to lead and mentor a team.
- Strategic thinker with a proven ability to translate financial data into actionable business insights.
- Business English proficiency required and conversant Japanese business proficiency strongly preferred.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
