Overview:
Smartbridge is seeking a highly skilled QA Tester with proven experience in mobile testing, API testing, and automation testing within Agile/DevOps environments. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in both iOS and Android platforms, a deep understanding of mobile-specific issues, and a passion for ensuring the highest quality in mobile applications.
Responsibilities:
Mobile Testing Expertise:- Prior experience in mobile testing across both iOS and Android platforms.
- Proficiency in testing mobile OS versions, handling device fragmentation, and understanding their impact on the testing process.
- Work with mobile emulators and simulators, and a variety of mobile devices to ensure comprehensive testing coverage.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot mobile-specific issues, such as network connectivity problems, device performance discrepancies, and UI/UX inconsistencies.
- Perform cross-browser and cross-device testing to ensure compatibility across platforms.
- Create and execute detailed test cases with meticulous attention to coverage.
- Collaborate with developers and stakeholders to report bugs clearly and ensure their resolution.
- Document test cases and results accurately, maintaining clarity and consistency.
Agile/DevOps Experience:- Utilize Microsoft Azure DevOps dashboards to manage testing workflows.
- Integrate test management tools within Azure DevOps and ensure smooth testing processes.
- Work within Agile environments, embracing Scrum methodologies and contributing to iterative development cycles.
- Collaborate with the development team to ensure alignment with DevOps practices and SDLC processes.
- Leverage version control systems like Git or SVN to manage source code and testing artifacts.
API and Automation Testing:- Perform API testing using tools such as Postman, REST Assured, or SoapUI.
- Ensure thorough understanding and validation of RESTful and SOAP web services.
- Contribute to automation testing processes as part of the overall test strategy.
Mobile App Development and Testing Knowledge:- Understand mobile app development processes, including API interactions, mobile architecture, and user flows.
- Contribute insights from testing to improve the development lifecycle and overall app quality.
Required Qualifications:
- Proven experience in mobile testing, covering both iOS and Android platforms.
- Hands-on experience with API testing tools such as Postman or REST Assured.
- Familiarity with mobile-specific issues like performance discrepancies and UI/UX variations.
- Experience working in Agile/DevOps environments, particularly with Microsoft Azure DevOps.
- Understanding of SDLC, Agile methodologies, and version control systems.
- Ability to create and manage test cases, report bugs, and collaborate with cross-functional teams.
- Flexibility to work with various mobile devices and simulators.
- Experience in testing POS systems is a plus.
Preferred Qualifications:
- A degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field is preferred, or equivalent work experience.
- Experience with end-to-end testing, including integration and system testing, is a plus.
