PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
The successful applicant will join ATR's Engineering Services Division, working as a Senior Underwater Weapons Program Manager at the Naval Surface Warfare Center, Indian Head Division, Indian Head, MD. You'll have an opportunity to work on world-class military programs that support the US Navy's Warfare technology as part of the Surface Systems Branch. The applicant shall work remotely and on site with other engineers and managers and provide senior underwater weapons support to various division weapons programs.
The applicant will be required to work in collaborative teams working with program technical leads and their engineers.
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:
- Advanced degree in a science related field
- 15+ years of Navy Underwater Weapons experience
- Experienced with Navy Program Management
- Experienced with managing projects for Navy weapon systems and components
- Job experience with Navy or DoD is desirable
SKILLS & ABILITIES REQUIREMENTS:
- Advanced understanding of Navy underwater weapons
- Advanced understanding of the principles of requirements management, risk analysis, data management, configuration management, verification and validation
- Experience with managing projects for Navy weapons systems and components, product improvement programs, and manufacturing technologies
- Experience with integrated master schedule development and tracking
- Experience with analysis report writing and weekly report writing
- Ability to interact with technical and non-technical customers and external teammates to understand their technical issues, frame potential solutions and develop collaborative projects
- Ability to effectively communicate orally and in writing
- Ability to handle multiple assignments and work in a dynamic environment
OTHER REQUIREMENTS:
Candidate must be a US citizen with the ability to obtain and maintain a DOD security clearance or favorable adjudication of a national security background investigation. Current successful background investigation completion is a plus.
