Project Management Director

As a  Project Manager Director, you will oversee and manage multiple complex projects within the

    •    Be accountable for program/portfolio/project success.    •    Structure, review and oversee all project components in the team's portfolio: planning, executing and closing.    •    Manage large, complex programs and projects to an acceptable level of risk by balancing cost, scope, time and quality.    •    Be an escalation point and engagement manager for projects in the team's portfolio.    •    Resolve issues, mitigate risks, foster project change control, scope management, budget tracking, and forecasting, as well as develop and review of all project assets.    •    Facilitate meetings to discuss progress and resolve delivery and client issues.    •    Assign project work assignments and tasks to project teams.    • Stay current on industry events and environments that shape opportunities for client solutions (e.g., news events, trends, mergers, etc.).    •    Educate and ensure our end-to-end delivery processes are followed by our global onshore and nearshore teams.

    •    Travel from time to time to engage clients and foster rapport.    •    Drive customer-consulting efforts in the portfolio, build/maintain relationships with clients’ senior leadership team, facilitate key meetings and present consulting deliverables as needed.    •    Lead by example and provide vision, direction and purpose to the team.    •    Grow our PM talent and ensure knowledge-sharing.    •    Clarify and communicate program objectives and success criteria.    •    Collaborate with other members of the Delivery leadership team to define best practices and optimally load balance the work.    •    Mentor and motivate staff with the goal of team retention, engagement and productivity.    •    Participate in recruitment and hiring activities - including screening, interviewing and conducting other hiring exercises within the Program Management Discipline.

    •    Actively seek opportunities to increase sales of Appnovation services.    •    Lead proposal efforts and can sell Appnovation’s value proposition.    •    Able to identify and shape cross-sell opportunities with current clients.      •    Create compelling proposals - including RFP responses, SOWs, Change Orders and estimations.    •    Protect the integrity and accuracy of sales estimates.

  •    10+ years’ of project management experience with a proven track record delivering large digital solutions with substantial logistics, complexity and budgets.    •    Experience in Project Management/ Delivery in the Pharmaceutical Industry.    •    Consulting, professional services or digital agency background at a global, full-service digital company.    •    Client management experience and ability to drive business development efforts and/or sell consulting services to new and existing clients.    •    Proven track record of leading significant RFP responses.    •    Strong presentation, negotiation, facilitation and team-building skills.    •    Willingness to work flexible hours as required - connecting and collaborating with colleagues in different time zones.    •    Attention to detail is a must.

    •    Project Management and/or Scrum Master certifications.    •    Business analysis and requirements management experience.

    •    Excellent organizational and time management skills, and able to communicate effectively across different levels of the organization.    •    Driven to apply PM methodologies and best practices to meet program objectives and client business drivers.    •    An excellent working background with iterative and waterfall methodologies, specifically in the

    •    Able and keen to work in a very fast-paced, growth environment.    •    Openness to travel to client sites.    •    Interested in directly influencing the continued growth of Appnovation.
