Position Overview:
The Senior Business Analyst plans and provides analytical support for facilitation, training, methodology development and evaluation, business management techniques, and organizational development. Key responsibility includes: Providing recommendations, contributing and preparing briefings for business, management, technology, operational processes and procedures. These functions include business process analysis to describe and create defined business and operations controls and processes. This role is contingent upon task order award.
Roles and Responsibilities:
- The Specialist will provide Support for SIDA (Security Information Display Area) Rulemaking. The Specialist will need strong writing skills, and background in regulatory writing and policy coordination.
- Assist the government with maintaining, updating program/project management methodologies, best practices, policies, processes, procedures, tools, and templates used for program/project initiation, planning, execution, tracking/monitoring/controlling, and closeout activities.
- Assist the government with maintaining and updating business processes, SOPs, briefing packages and other related documentation (as required by DHS and TSA directives, regulations, etc.)..
- Assisting in the definition of project scope and goals.
- Conducting or facilitating meetings and presentations to share ideas and findings.
- Conduct formal and informal reviews at pre-determined points throughout the delivery
Minimum Requirements:
- 7+ years demonstrated knowledge and experience in in general program/project management andor Specialist contributor support.
- At least 4+ years in consulting or government contracting environment
- Bachelors Degree in business or a related field is required
- Prior work experience within DHS and/or TSA is highly desirable
- Certification in Program/Project Management (e.g., Project Management Institute (PMI) Project Management Professional (PMP), and/or Federal Acquisition Certification for Program and Project Managers (FACP/PM) Level II and above) is preferred
- Excellent communication, interpersonal and organizational skills
- Familiarity with Federal Register or Ability to draft notices for Federal Register publication
- Innovative; thinks outside of box in delivering solutions to customer
- Strong decision making and problem-solving and writing skills
- Must be able to obtain and hold a TSA Public Trust Clearance
- Must be able to work onsite at the TSA HQ in Springfield, VA as requested
