We’re looking for a highly skilled Smokehouse Operator to join our team.The Smokehouse Operator position here at EW Grobbel requires an individual who possesses the ability to monitor and guide the cooking schedules and machines. The qualified candidate must demonstrate a positive attitude, high energy, and is able to become competent in their position quickly.
The ideal applicant would be accustomed to physical and fast paced work with machine operating experience.
Objectives of this Role:
- Operate cooking machinery according to specified procedures to meet production targets.
- Perform routine inspections and maintenance on cooking equipment to ensure optimal performance.
- Troubleshoot issues with cooking machinery and escalate complex problems to maintenance team.
- Adjust machine settings as required to meet product specifications.
- Strictly adhere to HACCP, USDA, and other relevant food safety guidelines to prevent foodborne illnesses.
- Monitor cooking temperatures and times to ensure product quality and safety.
- Record and maintain accurate data on cooking parameters and production volumes.
- Conduct regular checks on product quality, identifying and reporting any products that do not meet quality standards.
- Clean and sanitize cooking and surrounding areas to maintain a hygienic work environment.
- Comply with all company policies and regulatory requirements related to food processing.
Skills and Qualifications:
- Experience in a food processing or manufacturing environment preferred.
- Knowledge of food safety regulations and machinery operation.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, physically demanding environment.
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to channel timely, professional communications to appropriate cross-functional teams and escalate communication as needed.
