What you’ll do


Within the production environment, you will contribute to the manufacturing and testing of prototypes featuring the pioneering Scout design and functionalities. Additionally, you will play a decisive role in transferring the lessons learned to the later pre-series and series production line. In your role you will report to the Manager Body and Paint.Become part of an iconic brand that is set to revolutionize the electric pick-up truck & rugged SUV marketplace by achieving the following:

  • Ensuring the on-time delivery of parts of appropriate status to the installation sites
  • Work order scheduling and planning
  • Verification of part statuses together with R&D and Logistics
  • Initiating part reorders in the event of damage or missing parts
  • Organization and set-up of the parts delivery trolleys
  • Provision of large and fragile parts at the installation sites (just in time)
  • Optimization of processes for build status assessment and documentation
  • Design and optimization of the interface between Logistics and Prototype Build
  • Secure supply of workstations with process materials and consumables

Location & Travel Expectations: The responsibilities of this role require attendance at in-person meetings and events daily. This role will be based out of the Scout Motors location in Columbia, SC. Applicants should expect that the role will require the ability to convene with Scout colleagues in person and travel to participate in events on behalf of the company from time to time. You may be required to be in the Novi, MI area frequently.

What you’ll bring

  • Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in mechanical, electrical engineering, or equivalent
  • 5+ years professional experience with expertise in manufacturing engineering, production planning, and/or project management
  • Knowledge of vehicle engineering processes and project planning software
  • Profound knowledge of prototype vehicle build processes in Body Shop and Paint Shop
  • Skillful at organizational navigation and cross-functional collaboration at all levels; ability to develop effective partnerships and relationships
  • Creative and strategic problem solver who exercises sound judgement

Pay Transparency


This is a full-time, exempt position eligible to receive a base salary and to participate in an annual performance bonus program. Final salary offered will be determined based on factors including but not limited to the candidate's skills and experience. The annual performance bonus program is preset and not candidate dependent.Initial base salary range = $90.000-$100,000Internal leveling code: IC9
