Finance Administrator

This is a Contractor / 1099 Position

Veo is hiring an accounting associate/finance specialist to support its micromobility operations within the Finance Team. This is a unique opportunity to play an important role in scaling the company during its rapid growth. This role will own the accounting services function within the finance team: Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Credit Card Expenses, and Reimbursements. Additionally, this role will help support the accounting and finance close process on a monthly basis through balance sheet recons, reporting, slide deck updates, variance analysis, etc.

Responsibilities:
- Manage the Accounts Payable process from invoice processing, routing, and approval.
- Manage vendor relationships, emails, and communications
- Manage the Accounts Receivable function, ranging from invoice creation & submission and payment follow-ups.
- Manage the credit card process through our platform, Brex, by leading credit card trainings, the administration of credit cards, and receipts reconciliation
- Help process reimbursements for the company through our credit card platform, Brex, and work with the HR team on miscellaneous expense reimbursements
- Assist with basic journal entry posting in our ERP to assist with accounting close
- Work with Sr. Accountant on balance sheet reconciliations
- Assist with basic financial analysis & scenarios in coordination with the finance manager
- Help with financial reporting through slides & g-sheets with supervision of the finance manager
- Complete process documentation for accounting services
- Ad hoc projects as needed
Qualifications:
- Experience working in startups; know how to operate effectively with lean resources, changing priorities, and ambiguity
- A bachelor degree in accounting, finance, business, or related field
- Basic experience in Google Sheets and Slides
- Strong organizational, communication, and computer skills
- Attention to detail
