MicroHealth is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented
Functional Tester to join our team supporting our client in Vienna, VA. This role involves thorough testing of software functionalities to ensure the integrity and quality of our health information systems. The ideal candidate will be responsible for planning, executing, and managing the integration of new applications into existing systems and software.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and develop test plans and test cases based on software requirements and technical specifications.
- Execute test cases (manual or automated) and analyze results to ensure the software system’s functionality.
- Evaluate product code according to specifications.
- Report bugs and errors to the development team and follow through with comprehensive troubleshooting.
- Work with cross-functional teams to ensure quality throughout the software development lifecycle.
- Maintain updated knowledge of industry trends and advancements in software testing.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
- 5 to 7 years of experience in functional testing.
- Proven experience as a Functional Tester or similar role.
- Strong understanding of software QA methodologies, tools, and processes.
- Experience in writing clear, concise, and comprehensive test plans and test cases.
- Hands-on experience with both white box and black box testing.
- Familiarity with Agile frameworks and regression testing is a plus.
- Ability to document and troubleshoot errors.
- Excellent communication skills and attention to detail.
Security Clearance:
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a VA clearance.
