Responsibilities
- Design, build, and enforce our security policies and procedures. Both at the edges and behind the firewall
- Work with our Engineering and Ops teams, providing guidance on priority threats and vulnerabilities as they emerge
- Report to and work with the CTO providing a comprehensive view of our cybersecurity posture across multiple lines of business
- Manage relationships with vendors as well as provide guidance on tooling, both existing and new, as they pertain to the security of our platforms
- Lead DR dry runs and with Engineering leadership to tabletop scenarios
Requirements
- You have 6+ years of experience designing security strategies and delivering implementations working with cross-functional teams from start to finish
- You like finding holes in the wall and figuring out where someone left a door unlocked
- You are detail oriented
- You are a team player with great communication skills both verbally and visually
- You have superior organizational skills, integrity, and great follow-through on tasks
- You have experience with disaster recovery and business continuity planning, as well as putting together incident response playbooks
- You can operate at many levels of the stack. Being able to both see the big picture and zoom in as necessary
Skills Required
- Knowledge of and familiarity with cloud computing platforms (AWS/Azure)
- Experience and ability to confidently present progress to management and our entire tea
- Strong organizational skills
- Integrity, and great follow-through on tasks
- In-depth knowledge of security frameworks like ISO 27001, NIST, GDPR, MITRE
- Ability to take high level objectives and convert them into action without supervision
- Have familiarity with PCI compliance
- Possess the ability to engage in security investigations in the event of an incident and communicate with multiple layers of the organization
