Principal Strategist

TXI is seeking a highly experienced Principal Strategist to enhance our product strategy and management capabilities and provide expert guidance to our clients.
In this role, you will be instrumental in advancing the evolution of data products at TXI. With a successful previous track record of building and managing diverse digital products within a consultative environment, you will serve as a trusted advisor to both clients and internal teams. Your responsibilities will be twofold: delivering active client work and contributing to the growth of our client portfolio. You will work closely with active and prospective clients to define product strategy, create actionable roadmaps, execute these plans, and establish key success metrics.

Additionally, you will provide support and mentorship to our teams, helping to shape and refine our approach to consulting at TXI.Your ability to navigate between strategic vision and tactical execution will be key to your success in this role. You are an empathetic listener, an effective communicator, and a thoughtful problem-solver who is capable of inspiring teams and delivering outstanding results. You can expect to:


  • Lead client engagements to shape and ship incredible products for our clients.
  • Define product vision with our client stakeholders and executives; creating and actively managing multi-year roadmaps to meet that vision. 
  • Collaborate with clients and teams to articulate and prioritize product epics and stories
  • Work collaboratively on cross-functional teams of engineers, designers, and delivery managers and nurture a positive team dynamic. Define, track, and analyze key metrics, and use the data to inform product decisions
  • Facilitate a variety of workshops, critical conversations, and alignment sessions in a remote-first work environment. 
  • Partner with TXI’s Demand team to internalize prospective client needs, goals, and constraints; scoping complex product engagements based on business and user value.
  • Serve as an experienced consultant; adeptly building lasting, influential relationships with executive-level clients that grow and expand over time.
  • Embrace the rapid, adaptive nature of product innovation work and be comfortable leading through ambiguity

Key experiences you should have:


  • Proven track record leading large, complex digital product efforts as a consultant to Enterprise organizations
  • A breadth of expertise in the Manufacturing space with a specific emphasis on Industry 4.0 technologies, processes, and digital products
  • Experience leveraging emerging technology to illuminate possible applications within client-side operations and illustrate bottom-line impact
  • Fluency using data to identify digital product opportunities and guide product direction
  • Demonstrated ability to cultivate long-lasting, mutually beneficial relationships with client executives and organizations

Life at TXI

TXI is a leading supplier of cement, aggregate and consumer product building materials. All types of construction - residential, commercial and public works - use these materials.\r\n\r\nOur primary markets are Texas and California, the nation's most populous states and the two largest cement markets in the U.S. Texas and California also lead the nation in receiving the largest shares of federal highway construction funding. We believe population growth trends in both states will generate increasing construction activity in these markets in the years to come.\r\n\r\nOur strategy focuses on achieving leading positions in these growth markets while maintaining a low-cost profile. TXI is the largest, low-cost producer of cement in Texas. When the economy recovers, TXI will enhance its market position when it completes its expansion project to more than double the existing production capacity at our Central Texas cement plant. With the recently completed expansion and modernization of the California cement plant, TXI is now a low-cost producer in southern California and a much larger producer of cement in the market.
