Job Description:


Lightbend has a strong Information Security Program, and we are actively working to broaden our compliance with new and emerging standards.As an Information Security Analyst at Lightbend, you will play a crucial role in safeguarding our organization's information assets. You will be responsible for implementing and maintaining security measures, monitoring systems for potential vulnerabilities, and responding to security incidents. Your expertise will help us protect sensitive data, ensure compliance with industry standards, and maintain the trust of our clients and partners.You will be a part of the creation of new processes and procedures that help us meet our goals, and work with our entire team in the implementation of those processes.Key Responsibilities:Communicate the requirements of the Information Security program to the whole company, Update and maintain the required training materials for regular training of the team in their obligations under the Information Security ProgramWork closely with Human Resources to align policies and processes.Work closely with the SRE and Engineering team to ensure compliance with controls and capture sufficient documentation of such compliance as needed for audits.Assist in the creation and maintenance of a company-wide risk registerMaintain and manage the backlog of Information Security tasks, keeping it up-to-date with activitiesLead the management of Lightbend’s responses to inquiries and questionnaires from customers and potential customers to ensure they get the information they need within the limits of confidentiality.

Manage non-disclosure as required with third parties.Lead the review of third-parties to investigate and determine their risk profile, including vendors, partners, potential customers, consultants and others.Work closely with the Business Intelligence team to ensure our data collection and usage complies with policies and requirements at all times.Ensure the required cadences are executed in a timely manner,and that an  appropriate level of documentation and audit trail is maintainedDetermine the work required to alter existing procedures and processes to conform to new target standards and frameworks.Report to the Chief Information Security Officer (CISO).

Qualifications:


  • Bachelor's degree in Information Security, Computer Science, or a related field, or equivalent work experience. Relevant certifications (e.g., CISSP, CISM, CEH) are a plus.
  • Proven experience as an Information Security Analyst or similar role.
  • Strong understanding of security principles, protocols, and technologies.
  • Knowledge of security tools and technologies, such as firewalls, intrusion detection/prevention systems, and SIEM solutions.
  • Knowledge of regulatory requirements and industry standards (e.g., GDPR, HIPAA, ISO 27001).
  • Excellent problem-solving, communication and analytical skills.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a distributed team in a fast-paced environment.
