UltraViolet Cyber is seeking a Senior Golang Software Developer who has a minimum of 5 to 8 years of development expertise. 

We are looking for talented Golang developers who will be a crucial part of our software team. The selected candidate will have to write scalable, robust, and easy-to-maintain code. They will be required to translate software requirements into high-performance products.
This role supports a global organization, as well as supporting existing platform delivery, you will work collaboratively with internal stakeholders and peers to integrate current state and future state product development.  You will communicate consistently via Team meetings, Slack, Jira comments, and email. The ideal candidate will feel comfortable with Kanban and Agile methodologies, excel at employing industry best practices for technology product development and service delivery, have the ability to include code review and CI/CD and lastly be available to collaborate with team members across all US time zones within core hours. 

Responsibilities:


  • Will be able to develop according to the architectural design 
  • Understand software requirements and translate them into high-performance products 
  • Coordinate with stakeholders and decision-makers to test and improve services 
  • Provide analytical approaches to solution various problems 
  • Implement and maintain containerization to support Go services in a microservice architecture 
  • Utilize Kubernetes for successful application development 
  • Code back-end components and integrate applications to microservices deployment, and scaling 
  • Build and maintain scalable, secure, and high-performance web applications 
  • Develop and maintain automated testing suites to ensure code quality and application stability 
  • Participate in code reviews, technical design sessions, and team meetings
  • Keep up-to-date with industry trends, technologies, and frameworks related to web development
  • Conversant or able to learn Lean Development, to perpetuate performance and eliminates waste 

Requirements:


  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related field. 
  • Minimum of 5-8 years of experience in middleware development with expertise primarily in Go programming languages. 
  • Experience with developing a REST API
  • Experience with Object Relational Mapper (ORMs) such as GORM.
  • Experience with SQL and NoSQL databases such as PostgreSQL (ideally), MySQL, or DynamoDB. 
  • Experience with version control systems such as Git. 
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills. 
  • Attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality code. 
  • Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform is a plus 

Preferred Skills:


  • Understanding of high-performance, scalable, and fault-tolerant code in Go
  • Experience with Argo
  • Experience with web frameworks like Echo and Gin.
