MBL Technologies is hiring an experienced
Senior Architecture Analyst to join our team in support of a federal agency. The individual is responsible for designing secure systems, ensuring compliance with federal standards, and leading efforts to protect the agency's information assets. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of cybersecurity principles, federal regulations, and advanced security frameworks, with a proven track record in strategic security planning and implementation.
This role is contingent upon award of contract.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the design, development, and deployment of comprehensive cybersecurity architectures to protect the agency’s IT infrastructure and data.
- Create detailed security architecture documentation, including network diagrams, control frameworks, and system configurations.
- Develop and maintain the agency’s cybersecurity strategy, aligning it with mission objectives and federal regulations (e.g., FISMA, NIST, FedRAMP).
- Define security policies, standards, and procedures, and ensure their integration across all systems and applications.
- Perform threat modeling, risk assessments, and vulnerability assessments to identify security risks and recommend mitigation strategies.
- Implement security monitoring processes and tools to detect, prevent, and respond to security incidents.
- Work with IT and engineering teams to integrate security solutions into new and existing systems, applications, and networks.
- Evaluate and recommend new security technologies, tools, and methodologies to enhance the agency's cyber security posture.
- Ensure all systems and architectures comply with federal standards and frameworks, including NIST SP 800-53, FIPS, and other relevant guidelines.
- Communicate complex security concepts to senior leadership, stakeholders, and technical teams, ensuring alignment with organizational goals.
- Lead cross-functional security projects, providing expertise in secure design and architecture.
- Perform other official administrative tasks as assigned in support of the federal agency.
Required Experience/Skills:
- Bachelor’s degree in Cyber Security, Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field; Master’s degree preferred
- 7+ years of experience in a federal agency cyber security environment, with at least [3-5] years as a senior architect or analyst.
- Possess and maintain a cybersecurity-focused certification (e.g., CISSP, CISM, CEH, etc.)
- In-depth knowledge of federal cybersecurity requirements, including FISMA, NIST, FedRAMP, and related frameworks.
- Expertise in cyber security architecture methodologies, threat modeling, and risk management practices.
- Proficiency in cyber security tools and technologies, including IDS/IPS, SIEM, firewalls, encryption, IAM, and cloud security controls.
- Experience with Zero Trust Architecture (ZTA) principles and cloud security architecture.
- Knowledge of emerging cybersecurity threats, trends, and technologies.
- Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and decision-making skills.
- Excellent communication and leadership skills, with experience guiding cross-functional teams and managing complex projects.
- Prior experience working with Veterans Affairs preferred.
