Job Description:
The Applications Systems Analyst will support the maintenance and development of application systems, including operational system administration, database management, and system analysis. This role requires interaction with stakeholders to gather requirements, develop solutions, and ensure applications are optimized for performance and security.The Program objective encompasses the full lifecycle range of Internal Business Programs Operation and Maintenance support for DISA Internal Business Applications.
Operations and Maintenance (O&M) shall include designing, developing, configuring, testing, migrating, operating/maintaining, and securing Internal Business Applications. It also encompasses supporting ongoing operations and implementing upgrades with government provided hardware and software. This also includes support for changes to the hosting facilities such as moving applications and databases from DISA J9 HaC to STRATUS Cloud, and Joint Warfighters Cloud Capabilities (JWCC); provide technical support for application development, migration, integration, and sustainment and provide Risk Management Framework (RMF) support. Additionally, the scope of this effort shall include providing IT Internal Application II/III Service Desk Support, Task Order Administration, Developing Updating Documentation, Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) development /enhancement, Tactics, Techniques, and Procedures (TTPs), System Administration, Internal Architecture, Configuration/Attributes Management, Database Administration, Security Engineering, and System Integration across all of DISA Internal Business Application Support platforms.
What You Will Do:
- Lead system requirements analysis and design efforts.
- Perform system requirements analysis and design to meet user needs.
- Support operations and maintenance activities, including troubleshooting and issue resolution.
- Assist in integrating applications with Single Sign-On (SSO) and Public Key Infrastructure (PKI) authentication.
- Develop and maintain system architecture diagrams and documentation.
- Provide mentorship to junior Systems Analysts.
Requirements
What We Need:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field.
- 5+ years of experience in systems analysis or IT support roles.
- Extensive experience with Oracle databases, Microsoft SQL, and Java.
- Database tuning, upgrading experience.
- Familiarity with DISA’s eMass and incident management processes.
Even Better:
- Experience in cloud environments, particularly with Joint Warfighters Cloud Capabilities (JWCC).
- Knowledge of ITIL and agile methodologies.
- Agile and DevSecOps knowledge.
Clearance Level:
Active DoD Secret Clearance
