Role Mission: As a Job Estimator for Rhodes, you will work closely with fellow team members to determine the costs associated with completing specified construction projects. You will be responsible for analyzing blueprints, specifications, proposals and other documentation to prepare time, cost, material, and labor estimates for products, projects or services. You are part of the operations team and have an exciting opportunity to support the accomplishment of our organizational purpose to create beautifully engaging communities.
Measured Performance Goals:
- Total Variance % of House Budget for Closed Homes - Between 0% - 1% (Department)
- Average # of EPO Errors – Estimating (Individual)
- Average Cycle Time (Department)
- Average # of Variances per Closed Home (Department)
- Average # of Estimating Variances per Closed Home (Department)
Accountabilities:
- Perform quantity take-offs to prepare detailed estimates in accordance with drawings and specifications
- Interpret architectural drawings and specifications to determine project requirements
- Prepares & facilitates accurate & timely EPO Reviews & Releases with Superintendents
- Tracks & ensures EPO Reviews & Releases are per schedule.
- Assist with Trade Partners sign-ups & file maintenance
- Track & update vendor pricing
- Track & review job variances related to EPOs
- Ensure budgets are accurate with price updates
- Estimate options & base material lists as requested by Purchasing Manager.
- Assist with Training of any new team members for EPOs
- Prepare weekly check-in report with Purchasing Manager
- Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications, Knowledge & Skills:
- Construction associate degree or equivalent from two-year college or technical school preferred; or two to four years related experience and/or training in the multi-family industry; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Strong ability to meet multiple deadlines
- Proficient with MS Excel; knowledge of estimating software
