Full-timeDescriptionWe are looking for a Director of Account Management to lead managers and their respective teams within the Account Management department by providing guidance, education, and training. They will work with their direct reports to train on internal policies and procedures as well as Wellworks specific job knowledge, provide support and guidance for their team’s book of business, and help establish goals that will result in professional growth and business opportunities. The Director of Account Management works closely with the Vice President of Account Management to implement short and long-term strategies for client retention and growth while ensuring the Account Management team delivers cost effective and quality service to maintain relationships with new and existing clients. This salary range for this position is $80,000-$90,000/annually based on location and qualifications determined through the interview process.
This position will work Monday through Friday, 9 am to 5 pm and reports to the VP, Account Management.

What will your day look like?
- Lead, mentor, and support leaders and their respective teams within the Account Management department including but not limited to day-to-day management of their clients, tasks, and professional growth. Assist team members in problem solving and conflict resolution
- Work closely with Vice President of Account Management to identify business needs and objectives, opportunities for improvement, and process enhancements to achieve organizational goals
- Strategize with the Vice President of Account Management to plan long-term goals, initiatives, and procedures pertaining to the Account Management department
- Develop strategies to grow existing accounts through quality and cost-effective services
- Equip team members with the latest industry knowledge and best practices to support our clients' wellness initiatives effectively through internal certification and training programs
- Lead and facilitate comprehensive training sessions for team members and stakeholders including but not limited to professional development and process improvements, resulting in enhanced team performance and improved operational efficiencies
- Track and analyze key account metrics, including but not limited to client satisfaction, retention, and revenue growth. Provide regular reports to executive leadership on account health, performance, and growth opportunities
- Set clear performance expectations and goals for Account Management teams, ensuring alignment with overall department and company objectives. Write and administer annual performance reviews and make suggestions for merit increases, if applicable.
- Maintain an ongoing knowledge of clients’ business including but not limited to consultant/broker relationships, client satisfaction, growth, and potential issues. Assist with client relationships and ensure timely and successful delivery of solutions according to client needs and objectives. Resolve escalated client issues in a timely and efficient manner
- Proactively monitor assigned workloads of Account Management teams to ensure the needs of the business are met
- Develop and nurture department wide and cross functional relationships to breakdown/avoid silos while ensuring continuous improvement in efficiency and process optimization throughout the department
- Ability to travel, as requested
Requirements
What should you bring to the table?
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field; Master’s degree a plus
- 5+ years of relevant account management, client services, or similar experience
- 3+ years of virtual or hybrid management experience
- 2+ years of corporate wellness industry experience
- Up to date on latest industry trends; able to articulate corporate wellness trends clearly and confidently
- Demonstrated knowledge of Wellworks For You internal processes and procedures once presented
- Proven track record of successfully managing large client portfolios and growing revenue through account expansion
- Excellent leadership and team management skills with experience in building and leading high-performing teams
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport and trust with clients, consultants, brokers, and internal teams
- Excellent presentation skills, on camera and in person
- Strong problem solving and analytical skills with experience in data-driven decision-making
- Organized and able to adhere to timelines, budgets, and changing demands
- Ability to work both independently and cooperatively as part of a team with enthusiasm, initiative and creativity
- Flexible, open to new ideas, and willing to take on new responsibilities
- Proficient computer skills including Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Excel)
What is the work environment?
This job operates in both a virtual and in-office environment. The role routinely utilizes standard office equipment such as computers, phones, keyboards, and headsets. The position is based in our Malvern, PA home office, with the option for local candidates to work in a hybrid office-remote arrangement. Travel may be required as necessary. In-office attendance will also be necessary when required. Due to the handling of confidential client information, working from a public location is not permissible.
Computer equipment and VPN access will be provided; however, employees must have their own internet access. The working hours for this position are Monday through Friday, 9 am to 5 pm ET.
