Your Role
As a Merchandiser Lead In Training, you will be training on, but not limited to, leading a team of Merchandisers in managing and execution of planograms, problem resolution, blueprint interpretation, ensuring all merchandise is displayed according to brand and visual standards, safety enforcement, project documentation and ensuring that timelines are met. Our Lead Merchandiser is a vital part of our store remodel/new store projects, helping to ensure that every store is executed with precision and professionalism.Requirements
- Must have a valid driver's license and reliable transportation (state to state commute)
- Ability to Able to travel extensively for projects nationwide (4-8wks average)
- Able to drive up to 750 Miles per day in personal vehicle (mileage reimbursements/travel pay and bonus provided)
- Must provide tools for personal use
- Must be physically able to stand for long periods, kneel, bend, reach and lift/carry up to 60lbs
- Capable and willing to present a professional image of Merchco Services to our clients and retail personnel
- Must have a personal banking account for direct deposit and proof of valid vehicle insurance
- Must have a device with internet for company email and app-based programs
- Must be willing to share rooms when the project requires double occupancy
Job Qualifications:
- Read and interpret schematics and retail blueprints and delegate tasks to team of Merchandisers
- Lead, train and mentor new Merchandisers
- Verify accuracy of completed resets and overall quality control of product placement
- Communicate and works well with Project Lead, Installers and Store Staff to coordinate schedules and resolve any issues that arise during the project
- Ability to read label descriptions and UPC codes to ensure shelf tagged correctly
- Extensive profiling of bays and sections, including shelving and accessories
- Build specialty merchandising units, stands, and displays
- Work in new store, remodel, and reset/roll-out environments, including days or overnight work
- Ability to work effectively independently as well as a part of a team
- Maintain a positive relationship with co-workers and store personnel
- Maintain a clean work environment and follow all company safety policies
- Work with a sense of urgency while having attention to detail
- Must be able to complete general paperwork
- Practical knowledge and use of hand and power tools
- Fixture/Display Assembly and Demo
