Position Summary:

The Technical Writer crafts clear, customer-focused content that communicates complex legal, regulatory, and operational issues in a friendly, conversational tone. This role focuses on creating risk communications for financial clients, ensuring alignment with both customer experience and brand voice.

Position Responsibilities:


  • Develops risk communications with a focus on customer experience and brand personality in highly regulated environment
  • Attends and contributes to project kickoff meetings with relevant stakeholders to identify messaging elements
  • Drafts on-brand legally accurate copy based on risk events, target populations, and remediation plans
  • Conducts research to align messaging with previous risk events, reducing arbitrary uniqueness, supporting regulatory requirements and audit functions
  • Considers laws governing copy, such as registered and trademarked symbols, country of origin and material construction
  • Develops and presents sound rationales that effectively influence business and legal partners to accept recommendations
  • Handles revisions, incorporating feedback as needed
  • Organizes workload for efficient time management
  • Meets multiple schedule deadlines on time
  • Stays abreast of marketing trends, innovations and successes
  • Performs other duties as assigned

Requirements

Essential Skills and Experience:


  • A minimum of 3 years of informational/technical/customer service writing experience required
  • Excellent writing skills, including ability to:
  • Write tight, easy-to-read customer correspondence that adds nothing extra and leaves nothing out; and reads like a conversation
  • Write customer correspondence that breaks complex topics down into easier-to-understand elements
  • Conform writing to prescribed style format
  • Write for a variety of media and audiences
  • Experience in financial services industry preferred
  • Ability to read, analyze and interpret all forms of information
  • Ability to interpret and adhere to client’s brand standards
  • Strong communication skills, including ability to present ideas successfully in a professional group setting
  • Ability to work accurately and completely in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines and changeable priorities

Salary DescriptionSalary Range: $69,500 - $76,500 annually
