Asociación Puertorriqueños en Marcha (APM) is a nonprofit organization in Philadelphia, PA providing human services to the community including early childhood education, foster care & adoption, child welfare, mental & behavioral health, community and economic development, housing, violence intervention, and services to community schools. CUA stands for Community Umbrella Agency. CUA 2 covers the 24th and 26th Police Districts and CUA 5 covers the Logan and Olney police districts.

Job Type:

Full Time (40 hours / week), Exempt

Work Schedule:

Mondays through Fridays from 8:30 am to 5 pm
Location:  3300 Henry Avenue, Suite 600, Philadelphia, PA 19129 

JOB SUMMARY


The Intervention Director is an executive member of the CUA organizational structure and is responsible for ensuring that the CUA has an available array of evidenced based and other supportive services and interventions necessary to achieve the target goals of improving the safety, permanency and well-being of children, youth, and families including ensuring strong and meaningful linkages to educational, behavioral, and physical health services.  This position may also oversee and monitor subcontracts for these client support services. 

Key job tasks/duties/responsibilities of Intervention Director


  • Will ensure that CUA Intervention Services section maintains compliance with the DHS IOC Guidelines, Pennsylvania DHS Regulations, Child Protective Services Law, and DHS Performance Standards. 
  • Provide assurance that the alignment of evidenced based practices (EBP) meets and fulfills the mission of the IOC Program. 
  • Network, negotiate, and secure community services that will advance the overall mission of IOC.
  • Arrange site visits with community providers to assist in developing relationships and building partners. 
  • Responsible for maintaining data on all Intervention programs and sharing the data with appropriate parties. 
  • Attend workshops, meetings, and conferences as required by CUA Program Director. 
  • Facilitate new case and older youth teaming's. 
  • Be an active participant in new and ongoing case teaming reviews to provide vital resource information and interagency programs that the CUA families can benefit from 
  • Will provide direct supervision to Intervention staff. 
  • Collect and maintain data on client’s life skills, medical, and mental health services regular progress updates to assigned case management teams and Leadership  
  • Develop strategies, best practices and standards for a range of quality outreach and engagement efforts and activities for CUA clients 
  • Coordinate and schedule meetings with the Community Advisory Board members and other stakeholders 
  • Provide general administrative and logistic support to the chain of command 
  • Complete special projects as required under the direction of the chain of command 
  • Identify and oversee budgeted partnered programs 
  • Any other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  •  Master’s Degree in Social Work, Sociology, Psychology, Criminal Justice, or a related field and two (2) or more years of work and/or internship experience required.   
  • Experience in program evaluation or development, community engagement, or monitoring of child, youth, and family serving systems. 
  • Excellent communication and writing skills. 
  • Strong time management, leadership, and coaching skills. 
  • Strong customer service skills. 
  • Strong working knowledge of computer applications. 
  • Sound judgment, data/analytical, and problem-solving skills are essential. 
  • Must be proficient in all Microsoft Office applications, including word, excel, and power point. 
  • Bilingual, Spanish/English preferred but not required.
