Nurse or Physician Assistant

As a Nurse or Physician Assistant (PA) on the Clinical Effectiveness team, you will work with the Medical Director to provide clinical expertise to the clinical content creation and maintenance related to the clinical library of both video education and written patient instructions.
This role will also support the broader Mytonomy team as needed on all things clinical and to help explain the need for certain clinical modules or strategize on how to introduce them into the clinical care setting. Experience with EHR (Epic and/or Cerner) is a must.
Role Type: Part Time
- This role is for 1-2 days a week and may grow over time depending on the candidate and availability.
Role & Responsibilities
The following is not all inclusive but delineates the main areas of focus for this role:
- Help to create engaging microlearning content for video based patient education and written instructions. Includes the following activities:
- Market Research, topic identification, outline development, scripting, assisting on set during videotaping/filming, reviewing full videos and written instructions to yield a high quality finished product.
- Review of current Clinical Guidelines related to content topics.
- Review Mytonomy’s medical content for accuracy, ease of understanding, clinical relevance and other aspects as needed.
- Collaborate with clinical Subject Matter Experts (SME’s) across the country to elicit their feedback in a timely manner and create a high quality product.
- Perform medical review of the existing content library in adherence to established refresh/review protocols to maintain ongoing clinical accuracy.
- Optional: If local and if interested, may be able to appear on camera as needed for content creation on occasion.
Requirements: Passion for patient education and experience in this area
- RN or PA degree from accredited Institution- academic affiliation a plus
- At least five to ten years experience in clinical practice with experience inpatient and/or ambulatory surgery centers. Specific areas of Cardiovascular, GI, Critical Care, General Surgery, Labor and Delivery, or Oncology are a plus.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with a focus on taking complicated information and make it accessible and easy to understand.
- Ability to multitask and work in a fast paced environment and weather the ups and downs of a startup environment.
- Strong EQ, team collaboration and ability to work effectively across the organization.
- Strong familiarity with Epic and/or Cerner as a clinician, assigning patient education and using the EHR as a nurse or PA.
- Internally driven, motivated to do great work and mission oriented.
- Should be currently employed in a clinical setting as this is a part time position and current clinical experience is a must.
