The Position:
The Platform Manager is responsible for overseeing the development, maintenance, and enhancement of the oneWeigh Platform. This role requires a strategic thinker with strong technical skills and the ability to manage cross-functional teams. The Platform Manager will ensure our platforms meet the highest standards of quality, security, and performance, while also aligning with the company's business goals and customer needs.
General Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute the platform strategy in alignment with company objectives.
- Collaborate with all stakeholders to define platform roadmaps and prioritize initiatives.
- Ensure the platform adheres to industry standards and regulations.
- Identify opportunities for platform enhancements and new features.
- Monitor platform performance and reliability metrics.
- Implement and maintain robust security measures to protect data and systems.
- Evaluate emerging agricultural trends to better position the company in the market.
- Work closely with other departments (e.g., Product, Sales, Customer Support) to ensure platform alignment with business needs.
- Engage with key customers to gather feedback and understand their needs.
- Analyze system performance and troubleshoot issues.
- Implement best practices for platform maintenance and optimization.
- Lead efforts to evaluate, test, and recommend new opportunities.
- Provide technical expertise and support to sales and customer support teams.
- Develop, own, and execute product plans for assigned initiatives.
- Manage the entire product lifecycle, from concept to launch and beyond, ensuring that all products achieve the desired business outcomes.
- Collaboratively define desirable outcomes, team objectives, and key results for new features and improvements.
- Foster a collaborative and innovative team culture.
- Handle night and weekend critical outages.
- Up to 50% travel required.
The ideal candidate will have the following:
- oneWeigh experience
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science (or equivalent experience), Engineering, or a related field.
- 8+ years of experience in facility software development, platform or product management.
- Strong understanding of software development methodologies and best practices.
- Proven experience managing cross-functional teams and complex projects.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Knowledge of the agricultural industry
- Customer-focused mindset with a commitment to delivering high-quality service.
- Proficiency in using business analysis tools and software.
- Remote-based position.
