JOB SUMMARY:
Responsible for analyzing collections performance, collection strategies, and performance trends of the portfolio. This role requires the development and implementation of comprehensive risk management strategies to minimize losses and optimize collections processes. The VP will oversee analytics, policy development, and cross-functional collaboration to ensure effective management of credit risk and collections performance.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
- Own collections analytics to develop strategies to improve right party contacts, promises to pay, payments, and recoveries
- Work closely with Collections Senior Leadership to identify and assist with initiatives to improve efficiency of collection operations.
- Collaborate with Decision Science/Modeling team to develop and implement collection call models and strategies.
- Continuously assess and monitor credit risk related to the collection’s portfolio, ensuring timely identification and mitigation of potential risks.
- Work with other teams within the Risk Department to understand Risk initiatives that may impact collections
- Manage KPI tracking dashboards to analyze credit and collections performance enabling swift business decisions.
- Prepare and present regular reports on collections performance, risk assessments, and strategic recommendations to the Chief Risk Officer and other key stakeholders.
- Support the periodic due diligence requests related to collections for credit facilities and external financing partners including working with banks, audit firms, and internal LendingPoint resources.
- Utilize MySQL, Domo, Tableau, or other data management or database systems to drive data-centric strategic solutions to management inquiries.
- Act as Business Owner to lead the creation and execution of collections strategies that minimize credit losses and improve recovery rates.
- Collaborate with internal engineering and product teams to implement automation solutions into production.
- Work closely with the Risk, Finance, Operations, and Legal teams to ensure alignment on risk management objectives and collections strategies.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

- Bachelor’s in a quantitative field (e.g., Mathematics, Data Science, Statistics, Economics, Finance, etc.).
- 10+ years of experience in consumer lending collections support/credit risk management.
- 5+ years of experience working in collections analytics for consumer unsecured lending
- Strong analytical skills with experience leveraging large and complex datasets for analysis, which lead to driving business decisions.
- Proven track record of developing and implementing successful collections strategies.
- Proficient with data analytics and risk management software (e.g., SQL, Python, Tableau).
- Experienced in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and other relevant software.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITY
This position is responsible for the direct supervision of designated employees in the Risk department.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS

WORK ENVIRONMENT
While performing the logistics duties of this job, the employee is frequently exposed to moderate noises such as computers, printers, and other light traffic noise in an office setting.
This role is in-office. Remote work may be performed from a pre-approved location, as arranged, and scheduled by team management and approved by department leadership.
