Position Summary:


The Account Specialist will report to the Account Support Specialist Team Lead, with no direct reports. This role involves processing surgery cases, invoicing back to hospitals & outpatient surgery centers, managing all customer and sales rep interactions, including answering incoming calls, making outbound calls, and responding to email inquiries. The Account Specialist will collaborate closely with the Sales team to build strong relationships with assigned accounts. Additionally, the specialist will work alongside department staff and supervisors to ensure a high level of customer support, taking a proactive approach to customer engagement.

Scope of Role Responsibilities:


  • Support field sales operations, sales management, and other assigned areas. 
  • Ability to generate, review, and distribute reports to support relevant functions. 
  • Ability to receive and handle daily processing of purchase orders, pricing resolutions, and billing within ERP system.  
  • Communicate with sales teams and healthcare professionals via phone and email, providing timely assistance. 
  • Prioritize and troubleshoot customer requests, partnering with a sales manager when necessary for resolution. 
  • Collaborate with team members to resolve issues and ensure adherence to operational protocols. 
  • Process work in accordance with standard operating procedures and best practices. 
  • Provide requested after-hours support as needed based on call volume or workload demands. 
  • Assist the Inventory Department by managing accurate inventory records in the ERP system through billing and replenishment processes. 
  • Participates in monthly sales close out. 

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.  
  • 1-2 years of customer service experience required. (Medical device billing preferred) 
  • Proven ability to thrive in a collaborative matrix environment. 
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, with intermediate Excel skills. 
  • Experience with data entry and ERP systems preferred.  
  • Experience in fast-paced, high-growth settings. 
  • Strong customer focus, able to engage effectively with diverse clientele. 
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills. 
  • High energy, personable, and leads by example. 
  • Demonstrates urgency and a willingness to go above and beyond. 
  • Ability to work an 8-5PM EST Monday-Friday schedule and occasional weekends and holidays as needed.
