Sales Manager / Channel Sales Manager / Installer Sales Manager


Lunar Energy is seeking a Sales Manager to grow battery sales into the installer sales channel. The role will report to the Sales Director and be responsible for growing in a specific region, across the full account lifecycle from targeting to prospecting to piloting and scaling the account. On a given day at Lunar, you’ll likely…


  • Execute on Lunar’s go-to-market strategy across a wide range of installers with the goal of developing  a committed portfolio of strategic channel partners who learn to rely on Lunar for the growth of their business.
  • Initiate and manage the sales process and relationship from targeting, to initial prospecting through piloting, on-boarding, ramping and scaling their business with Lunar. 
  • Clearly communicate Lunar’s value proposition to multiple internal stakeholders at an installer company.
  • Focus on growth in market share and wallet share by delivering value add to to channel partners through insightful analytics and reporting  to drive up top line revenue, reduce cost and improve operational efficiency
  • Nurture client relationships to ensure that our client’s success is Lunar’s success.
  • Support the launch of new offers to the market.
  • Maintain competitive intelligence across the entire value chain.
  • Ensure voice-of-the-customer is communicated effectively to Lunar internal stakeholders.

Desired Skills:


  • Deep knowledge and experience in a specific region e.g. SoCal, NorCal, North East, South
  • Strong knowledge of battery products, and the battery competitive landscape.
  • Experience working with solar installers, contractors, EPCs.
  • Some understanding of the grid services markets, wholesale markets, or distributed energy resource management solutions will be helpful but not essential.
  • Proven experience in initiating and closing complex solution sales with the potential for expanding those solutions with additional hardware, software and services. 
  • Experience building a pipeline and delivering deals against targets.
  • Effective communicator, able to convey complex products and services to a broad audience

Our Compensation Philosophy:

Our goal is to ensure that all Lunar Energy employees are fairly compensated. Please note that the salary range information that follows is a good faith estimate for this position provided pursuant to the Pay Transparency for Pay Equity Act for California applicants. The salary range estimate for this position depending on level of experience is: $80,000 - $120,000 USD.
The actual offer, reflecting the total compensation package & benefits, will be at the company’s sole discretion, and determined by factors including but not limited to years of experience, job level, geographic location, and other relevant business considerations. The company also reserves the right to amend or modify this job description, employee perks, and benefits at any time.
